  1. Plug in your Galaway Mini Extender into a power outlet near your WiFi router.
  2. Press and hold the reset button on the back of the extender for 5-10 seconds until the power light on the extender starts flashing.
  3. Use a computer or mobile device to connect to the WiFi network named “GALAWAY-XXXXX”. The “XXXXX” represents the last five digits of the extender’s MAC address, which can be found on a sticker on the extender.
  4. Once connected, open a web browser and type “http://ap.setup” in the address bar. This will take you to the admin login page.
  5. Enter the default username and password, which is “admin” for both. Click on “Login”.
  6. On the admin page, you can configure the extender’s settings, such as the WiFi network name and password, as well as the network mode and channel.
  7. To update the firmware, go to the “System Tools” tab and click on “Firmware Upgrade”. Download the latest firmware from the Galaway website and upload it to the extender.
  8. After configuring the extender’s settings, disconnect from the Galaway Mini Extender’s WiFi network and connect to your home WiFi network. The extender should now be extending your home WiFi network.

Note: If you are having trouble accessing the admin page, try resetting the extender again and then accessing the admin page immediately after the power light starts flashing. Also, make sure your computer or mobile device is connected to the Galaway Mini Extender’s WiFi network and not your home WiFi network.

Resetting the Galaway Mini Extender:

  1. Locate the reset button on the back of the extender.
  2. Use a paperclip or a small tool to press and hold the reset button for 5-10 seconds.
  3. Release the reset button when the power LED on the extender starts flashing.
  4. Wait for the extender to reboot and the power LED to turn solid green.
  5. The extender has now been reset to its default factory settings.

Updating the Firmware on the Galaway Mini Extender:

  1. Go to the Galaway website and download the latest firmware for your specific extender model.
  2. Connect your computer or mobile device to the Galaway Mini Extender’s WiFi network.
  3. Open a web browser and type “http://ap.setup” in the address bar to access the extender’s admin page.
  4. Enter the default username and password, which is “admin” for both, and click on “Login”.
  5. Click on the “System Tools” tab, and then click on “Firmware Upgrade”.
  6. Click on the “Browse” button and select the firmware file you downloaded earlier.
  7. Click on the “Upgrade” button to start the firmware upgrade process.
  8. Wait for the extender to finish upgrading the firmware. Do not turn off or unplug the extender during the upgrade process.
  9. Once the firmware upgrade is complete, the extender will reboot automatically.

Accessing the Admin Page on the Galaway Mini Extender:

  1. Connect your computer or mobile device to the Galaway Mini Extender’s WiFi network.
  2. Open a web browser and type “http://ap.setup” in the address bar to access the extender’s admin page.
  3. Enter the default username and password, which is “admin” for both, and click on “Login”.
  4. You can now access the extender’s admin page and configure its settings, such as the WiFi network name and password, network mode, and channel.

Note: If you are unable to access the admin page, make sure your computer or mobile device is connected to the Galaway Mini Extender’s WiFi network and not your home WiFi network. If you still can’t access the admin page, try resetting the extender and then accessing the admin page immediately after the power LED starts flashing.
